The best part about vacationing is the ability to think. I don't know why I have the best thought process or ideals while on vacation. Am I the only one? While in Cabo San Lucas I decided to take some time away from HouseOfMeme's and discover my brands identity. However, I am not quite sure if I have found it just yet. But hey... trial and error.. that's what it is all about, right?
So now to the good stuff...
Now that I'm nice and tan I am soooo over the summer. Now I know it is early but I'm ready for the fall. So I started looking for fall inventory but due to the fact that its still JULY basically August most vendors haven't put out there "fall attire". So I got to thinking about that awkward time between seasonal changes where you are like "damnnn I dont know if I should order summer clothes or fall" .
Now really, the good stuff...
That is what I like to call ᴛʀᴀɴꜱɪᴛɪᴏɴɪɴɢ ꜰᴀꜱʜɪᴏɴ or ᴛʀᴀɴꜱɪᴛɪᴏɴɪɴɢ ꜱᴇᴀꜱᴏɴ. So the picture at the top is my mood board for this project. I've been looking into some pieces to sample in order to give a urban/streetwear look for my girls that like to get dressed dressed. Meaning not always club clothes. With me wanting to be as organic and personal with my brand I want to express that sometimes as a business owner you have to buy whats trending. However, I want to build a brand with my own identity... if that makes sense. Ok enough of me venting. My plans are the following:
- Build my brands identity
- Try sample pieces
- Included you guys on this project (creating videos, doing polls etc.)
- Be as authentic and organic as possible.
I have been thinking about this a lot. I live in Texas and it’s so hard to figure out what type of attire I should wear. It’s so hot out here but it’s also at night I don’t always want to wear shorts. But I want to learn how to put on some of the Jean fits you have at the top. I want to get into the graphic tee vibes but don’t know how to really rock it so I would love to see those type of outfits. I think your vision is on the right path and I can’t wait to see what the next collection is.
I hate that awkward time between summer and fall.. They put fall items out, sweaters boots etc but it’s still blazing hot in August. Sheesh… Help!
